Usually I have a rough idea what to expect in a new destination. Ideas, hunches that develop through conversations or even photos and Co. However, this was not the case with South Korea. When I told my friends about my trip to Seoul before my trip, they immediately sensed an underlying fear and comments like "Aren't you afraid?" were commonplace. I didn't let this put me off and embarked on the adventure without further thought.

One highlight follows the next. Tokyo gets more whimsical by the minute. With a good load of colorful confetti. An overload that catapults me into wonderland. A wonderland of extremes. Tokyo is colorful, loud and full of people. Part 2 of a trip to Tokyo.

Tokyo - what are you doing to me? I look at the clock - 04:03 in the middle of the night. There is no sign of tiredness. Actually, I should fall into bed. Instead, I just toss and turn. My head is rattling. The past 48 hours have to be processed.

The wind sways the palm trees in a gentle rhythm. I look out at the sea stretching out before me. Salty air surrounds me. I breathe in and out deeply and notice how my body is becoming more and more at peace. The tension of the last few days eases. Time for me. Time to recharge my batteries and to recharge my batteries. That's exactly what I will do in the coming days here in Mauritius.

Sultry heat coupled with the numerous scents of the street vendors fill the night in George Town. The evening slowly dawns. I let myself be driven by a rickshaw, or as they say here "trishaw", as they are only found in Penang or in Malacca, through the partly winding streets of the city.

China has been on my travel to-do list for a long time. Not a typical travel destination for many. But what drives someone to explore the Middle Kingdom? In my case, the curiosity to get to know the country and its people, to explore the typical conditions of the country and possibly to clear up some prejudices. The first destination of my trip - Hangzhou!

Countless waterways, winding little streets, colorful silk and blooming gardens as far as the eye can see. That's probably what I would say if I were asked for the short version of my impressions from Suzhou. For all those who would rather read the long version - Voilá!

Anyone traveling through Mexico and driving along the small but inconspicuous village of Xilitla should definitely take a small...

Colorful, shrill and extreme... with exactly these thoughts I set off for Palma de Mallorca. From here starts the first official German Rainbow Cruise with the goal to stir up the Mediterranean Sea in the coming days. Flags in dazzling colors indicate the course of the next days and at the bar the chilled Prosecco and champagne bottles are ready in masses. And as if there wasn't already enough magic over Palma, a colorful rainbow shimmers over the Mein Schiff 2.

Relax and just let the soul dangle ... who would not like that? So pack your bags, family off in the car and on vacation. Holland has never been on my agenda as a vacation destination. Why not actually? Holland and vacation? Better would be the Mediterranean or even better the Caribbean. I thought so far also...but then came Holland and how do you say so beautiful ".... and it has made Zoom" 🙂
