Two absolute superlatives meet: Formula 1 and the largest five-masted full-rigged ship in the world, the "Royal Clipper". To coincide with the final of the most famous Formula 1 race, the majestic tall ship is setting course for Monaco. On May 28, 2023, passengers will have the opportunity to experience the exciting final live on site.
A relaxing route along the most beautiful ports of the Mediterranean Sea
The one-week route of the "Royal Clipper" promises a lot of relaxation and starts already one day before the final in Cannes. From there, it will travel via Elba, other ports on Corsica and Sardinia, and on to Civitavecchia, the port of Rome. In 2024, the "Royal Clipper" will also set sail on an identical route to the Formula 1 race in Monaco.
The "Royal Clipper": An imposing sailing cruise ship
The sailing cruise ship "Royal Clipper" is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest five-masted full-rigged ship in the world. At 134 meters in length, it can accommodate a maximum of 227 guests. The interior design of the five-masted ship, which has 42 sails, was developed by the English ship designer Donald Starkey from London. The Edwardian style he chose perfectly matches the warm atmosphere of the ship and the traditional nautical decorative pieces.
Enjoy open spaces and refreshing pools on board
With a total of 1,765 square meters of walkable deck space, guests have more open space on average than on conventional cruise ships. In addition, three pools on deck, which can be filled with either seawater or fresh water, provide cooling on sea days. The glass-bottomed main pool is recessed into the ceiling of the piano bar lounge, and side portholes in the pool provide daylight to the three-story atrium of the restaurant below.
