The MSC Seaview is in the port of Kiel. It is a sunny day at the beginning of July. Up to this point, the promise of good travel weather has been good. But would it continue like this? The MSC Seaview is not about to sail through the Mediterranean with sunshine guaranteed. This time it should go to the Baltic States: From Kiel via Sweden to Estonia and back to Kiel. That I would see here the most beautiful sunset so far, I had not actually expected in advance.

MSC Seaview and the love of the sea
The MSC Seaview is ultra-modern. So the first day at sea is a good time to get to know this Seaside-class ship better. Wherever possible, the guest gets the beloved sea view. For most guests certainly one of the most important reasons for a cruise. The MSC Seaview has spacious indoor and outdoor areas. The seafront promenade on deck 8 alone, with its numerous stores, opportunities for shopping, swimming and sunbathing, offers vacationers plenty inside and out. Strolling and enjoying, taking a deep breath and coming down, the perfect way to start your vacation. Also culinary we go on a journey of discovery. Various restaurants offer varied menus, specially created by top chefs for the MSC ships.
Every evening sundowner on deck 16
The highlight: On each evening of our 7-day voyage, in addition to the sundowner we enjoy in the ship's modern glass atrium, we are also served the perfect moment. Breathtaking sunsets that literally show you how fantastic cruises can be. Moments that could not have been painted more beautifully. They want to be captured. That's why, understandably, you're usually not alone on the glass skywalk on deck 16. It is one of the most popular photo motifs on the MSC Seaview.
When the sun sets, night falls on board. Stylish lounges and bars invite you to drift through the evening. As on other MSC ships, you can feel the Italian joie de vivre everywhere. Those who like more action also get their money's worth during the day. Bowling alleys, an aqua park with five different water slides, and a high ropes course provide fun for the whole family. A luxurious SPA area, massages or participation in one of the yoga classes with a sea view provide the right relaxation.
Short flying visit to Stockholm
On day four we will dock near Stockholm. We will pay a short visit to the Swedish capital. Those who already know Stockholm or have read about the modern metropolis know that seeing and taking in everything would take days, if not weeks. The visitor is offered a modern, open-minded culture paired with centuries-old history and in addition a good portion of nature. Stockholm consists of 14 smaller islands in the Baltic Sea with more than 50 bridges. We get to know the "Venice of the North" on a bus tour. It's a pity that we can't explore the small streets of the old town Gamla Stan or the 13th century church Storkyrkan on our own. But due to the shortness of time and the - at our travel time - still valid Corona rules also absolutely understandable. Who likes the north - should visit Sweden and especially Stockholm again. An impressive city on the route of the MSC Seaview through the Baltic States.
Medieval flair in Tallinn
I was particularly looking forward to a visit to Estonia, especially Tallinn. An old town that has been designated a World Heritage Site. It is the best preserved medieval city in Northern Europe, as we were told by our knowledgeable guide. We conquered the city on foot. We walked along cobblestone streets and street markets into another world that had almost stood still in terms of architecture. Tallinn is a landmark of culture and history, yet the city also presents itself as very lively. We see and talk to many friendly people who are very happy about tourist visits. A city that presents us its Hanseatic culture. We see many medieval churches and old houses of the merchants who once helped Tallinn to fame. Especially the view over the historic old town is fascinating. Even though we are surprised by a strong thunderstorm at the end, this is not the last visit to Tallinn either.
MSC Seaview with sea day on the way back to Kiel
After our stop in Estonia, the return trip to Kiel with another sea day offers the opportunity to fully enjoy the amenities of the MSC Seaview. This is a ship that fulfills almost every guest wish. The spaciousness of the outdoor areas makes immersion in the hustle and bustle, but also quiet and private moments possible. Just what makes a perfect vacation: time to enjoy. However you like it.
The MSC Seaview has meanwhile departed for other waters. Anyone who would like to get to know the ship: In winter 2022/2023, the MSC Seaview will be deployed for cruises from Brazil. Exactly according to the motto: The ship that follows the sun.
